Proverbs 26:12you know the parable of the rich man, and getting into heaven, right? It's so popular because there's a tangential glimpse into what was being inferred, a rich man is synonymous with a wise man.
Do you see a person wise in their own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for them.
But the poor who has understanding sees through him.now, back to the idea of "go forth, and study" and those three wise men that visited, bearing gifts.

did you have to bold that, Hic?
the aspect, or angle of attack, or whatever, a wise man brings into a conversation is not the same as a fool's, because you can forgive a fool's improprieties and a wise man bears the burden of his station, and place.
a fool, is like saying those who have developmental disabilities in our modern vernacular, and people who cannot discern when they are "out of bounds" could apply to someone like me, who may appear as a fool appears, to God.
It could even be a continuum, on which people find themselves in a part of the curve they didn't intend, and wouldn't inhabit unless they were unaware.
Being aware, that's always been the trick, I think.
Just typed a long response and tapatalk wiped it out!
Just as well...

If you really wanna know about the two main interpretations of the bible look up the Arminianism vs Calvinism debate.

Astro, the Calvinism vs. Arminianism debate goes back ages and has been argued by theologians much smarter and more faithful than ourselves. The most interesting thing about it is both sides are pretty much 100% backed by scripture.
Basically it boils down to:
Are we saved by God's will alone (Calvinism/Monergism) or does our salvation require His will and our own (Arminianism/synergism)?
Do we choose God or does God choose us? If both, which came first?

I am well aware of that debate, Fric. The point I poorly tried to make is that when you say "main interpretations of the bible" you can be referring to a far broader range of topics than salvation.
I will also say that logically, that monergism and synergism cannot both be correct at the same time and in the same sense (the law of non-contradiction). It has to be one or the other.
