I had one of the old sony units with DSO and it seemed to be more of a boost. It did "kind of" raise the stage, but it came off as a treble/bass boost like the old sanyo headunits had(showing my age). At any rate, nice looking headunit and good luck

Got the HU harness, and axxess module wired into the adapter harness. Just need to tap the radio control lines on the factory harness and the radio will be set.

Well thay was a waste of time. Seems I got the wrong info and the six speaker BA system uses the can bus to an amp....well guess I'll start getting the sub box and amp rack made. So I can wire my own power for the HU.

Well I got the final piece of the puzzle as far as gear goes with a very well worn but functional AudioControl 6XS so I can run that PPI set active with my 900BT. Hopefully I can get some time to work on the sub box since my sun flash came in.

Got to do some glassing and well Sunflash is a fuck ton different then the other shit I used. It made my glasses mat turn to mush when I let is soak so I kinda wasted half the thing but after getting the enclosure wet and placing dry strips and letting them soak it up and adding some more on top it was great. Got another layer on the lower left half. Guess I'll need to Order two more containers and some more mat. Also shit drya quick in direct sunlight. I had some leak on the floor so I used a little sqaure to soak it up. I hadn't set the box in the sun a minute and by the time I was back what was a puddle was now hard to the touch.

So I did a thing today...also hello everyone.

Installed a Sony XAV-AX100. With Android Auto and backup camera support. Next is making a new sub enclosure.

So far it's nice. It's nice having a magnum that's not stuck in 2005 for the in car entertainment. Will be even better once I replace the factory drivers.

Well after about a year I'm back at it. This time getting my PPI 3 way comps ready to go into the magnum.

I snagged a pair of door baffles out of an 06 300C so I could do a quick drop in replacement for the factory bynines.

Added some of the GZ multi-layer deadener I have to help seal the adapter plates to the baffels and dampen any vibrations

Had some fun getting 6x9 to 6.5 adapters but ended up getting a set from Sound Mekanix out of Sheboygan.

And of course PPI had to make them closer to a 6.75, nothing ever goes as planned does it.

Minor update/progress. Removed the factory BA bynines and dropped in the PPI 6.75".

Was a simple plug an play thanks to my *custom* adapters and the factory harness adapters from harmony audio.

Never realized how much more deadener I put on the passenger door, doesn't seem to do much more then what's on the drivers door.

Next is removing the factory amp so I can make a plate to mount the passive crossovers and make the tweeter pods so I can at least have a passive three way system.

Even though it's still being run full range they sound nicer then the stock bynines, will be even better with the midrange and the tweeter.
