    1996 Dodge Dakota complete restore, rebuild and audio

    This new thread is going to require patience, this process will not be quick, but hopefully extremely detailed and well done!

    The Victim:

    1996 Dodge Dakota Sport 2WD, 2.5L 4 Cylinder. Poor thing had no idea what my plans were when I bought her.

    -Build new custom dash
    -Build new custom door panels
    -Deaden entire cabin thoroughly
    -Cut a big ass hole from the cabin to the bed and add subs

    1/4'' ABS plastic to cover holes
    Butyl Rope
    Acoustic Foam Panels in key areas
    Butyl caulking
    Tesa Wire Tape
    Reflective backed acoustic foam on firewall for noise/heat on top of Sonic Barrier

    Wire:
    Hand twisted OFC copper speaker wire, gauge specific for drivers
    Hand made RCA cables from silver plated OFC wire and high grade terminations using silver solder
    Inductively shielded relay bank
    2/0 gauge power and grounds, 4 gauge to amplifiers
    ANL fuse holder
    Multiple additional grounds throughout vehicle
    Ohio Generator HO Alt
    Cascade 90A power supply for key-off listening

    Pics and parts will be added constantly, lots of neat stuff is going to happen with this build.

    Next up is engine UPgrade. Me and my brother tore apart a 2003 5.3 L59 Flex fuel engine and everything has been freshened up along with go-fast goodies installed.

    Go Fast Goodies:
    -Texas Speed 228R Cam
    -Texas Speed CNC Ported Heads with big valves, titanium retainers and double valve springs.
    -Morel lifters
    -High Flow intake manifold
    -Denso Plugs
    -Quad Port Steam Vent
    -Speed Engineering Mid-Length Headers
    -Various ICT billet parts
