2019 Civic - Helix SI Hybrid

I slacked and forgot to get a before equipment picture, but dropped my commuter car off with Chris Pate at Mobile Toys last week.

This one started with an idea for a budget build in my commuter since I spend 6 hours plus in it each week. Original idea was active 2 way that I could handle myself. Thanks to Scott Buwalda and others that have had some great deals, it has morphed and taken on a life of its own. Rather than struggle with my lack of skills, made the decision to drop it off with Chris and let him do his thing. Anyone who’s seen his work knows it’s some of the best in the industry.

The BM MKIVs and V9s were leftovers from a previous install in an F-150. Just love the way the MKIVs sound, couldn‘t see myself going away from them, especially when I already had them. They’ll fire forward at the front of the trunk, enclosure size pending Chris modeling them.

Legatia X6-CP in factory door location, bridged off two channels of each amp. X3-CP in custom pillars. X1 in factory tweeter location. Angle of tweets and mids will be matched.

Progress pictures will come as I get them. Total build time probably be about two weeks.

Getting closer. Feel like a kid at Christmas time. All credit goes to Christerfer Pate and the crew at Mobile Toys.

I’ll still have some deadening work to do after I get it back, but they did the front doors and the area around the enclosure.

Director mount plus usbs in the pocket below the radio. One usb for factory connection, one for helix tuning. Pillars completed.

Overall build quality, fit, and finish are fantastic. Sounds amazing. Center way out at the front of the dash, the X series are great. Could not be happier.
