That seems very dirty in a few places.

Any luck undoing what the bird did to capacitor ? She went through the body and the dielectric with ease. It was the bright orange color (looked tasty). In the past she adjusted the treble, bass and volume on receiver, then danced to it ! Barbi is a bit of a "bass-head" !

Re: Marv's Silverado Regular Cab build

Decided to get started on the new system to get it out of the way so I can put my interior back together and move on to other planned mods. I'm going to keep the 13tw5 as well as JL xd700/5v2 to power an active front stage consisting of my Alpine DLX-F30T ring radiators and most likely the ScanSpeak Revelators. I'm also going to keep the factory headunit and I found there is a way to manipulate the JL TwK 88 to get a left minus right signal so I'm going to use that to add "proper" rear fill which will be powered by an Alpine mini amp. More pics coming as soon as the TwK 88 arrives and I get started.

First time using a twk 88 and find it is easy to set up/use with plenty of control and I like that it actually came standard with the DRC-200 controller but I'll most likely get the DRC-205 with the nicer knobs as well as back lighting since I'll be using it for master volume control. I haven't had time to hook up the rear amp yet but once I do anyone in the area is welcome to come listen to "properly processed" rear fill and see if all the "rear speakers just mess up your front stage" posts I often see are valid. I also made under dash covers with the rear carpeted floor mats I received by accident (a little trimming along with some zip ties is all it took and the benifits were immediately noticeable with my low door mounted mids)

Thanks BigAl. I got lucky that these happened to conform pretty closely to the under side of my dash (passenger side fit with no trimming and drivers side only required notches to clear the brake pedal and a couple of brackets) but I'm sure inexpensive carpeted floor mats from the auto parts store could easily be made to fit just about any application.
