Wanting to add subs to Boat audio system
Hey Guys, I just got a boat, 20’ runabout, so it has a Sony CDX M10 marine stereo with 4 basic speakers, the components I have from my previous audio system are 2 Bazooka CSW1014’s and a Kicker KX150.2. So what do you think, would it make a decent system for the boat? I’m trying to use what I have but of course I’m open to your suggestions. Would like subs that hit hard, not boomy. I still need sub enclosures, been researching how big, ported or not, I can build boxes if need be. The subs will be in the engine compartment out of the elements to a point.
Appreciate any help/suggestions you can offer, thanks!

I've never heard a set personally, but I doubt you could go wrong with JL

Without an enclosed space like a vehicle you will not get cabin gain. Ported boxes would be my reccomendation.
JL would be good and a marine rated amp , would be good, too.

Mike,
I searched for "all things motor-boatable and came up with various marine-rated amps -n- speakers, also women with great personalities (tend to have double letter cups)!
