Sub box for 2 Massive Hippo 84’s going in the trunk of a Chevy Cruze. Subs firing toward the sides of the trunk, with ports upfiring. 1.1 cubes, separate chambers, 3 x 8 ports per Massive specs.

This is the configuration my stepson insisted on for his fiance, so we shall see.... The subs will be wired to 1 ohm running on a Pioneer GM-D8601 (800 watts rms). The rest of her system is stock, and 99% of the time, she will be listening to Fetty Wap! Do you think it will work?

Seems like thr tuning will be very high but im sure itl work just fine

I like those heat shrink solder connections. Have used them in numerous radio harnesses without one single failure yet. Can't say that about some of the crimp connectors I've used in the past

Well, did it work?

Yes, it works great! It can ground and pound, but being 2 eights, it doesnt rattle everything on the exterior of the car. Perfect amount of bump, and the lows are quick and tight. I’m super pleased with it!
