    2011 Dodge Challenger

I had been out of the audio game for a while, but the itch never went away. The build was going to have to stay within a small budget and it had to sound awesome. I have built many different systems over the years, but this was the first Tline type enclosure I have ever built. The port folds back and forth through the box and goes down one side and back up the other. The Line is 11.5" X 5.5" and the box takes up about 6 cubic feet. The port exits through the top under the factory sub hole and the sub is mounted inverted on the front of the box. The trunk is walled off. I made a couple of viewing holes in the back just because and the inside of the box as well as the amp racks are lit by purple LED's that are wired from the trunk light. The sub is currently a Sundown EV3 12 D2 running at 1 ohm on a Pioneer GM-D8601.

    Current System:

    Headunit: Clarion CZ702
Highs/Mids: PPI S.65 Tweets, Crunch CS35 3.5 (crossed passively on high out of deck)
Midbass: CT Sounds Meso Pro 6.5 (crossed actively using mid out on deck)
    Sub: Sundown Audio EV3 12 D2
    Amp 1: RF r250.4 - Highs/Mids
    Amp 2: Pioneer GM-D8601 Sub @ 1 ohm
    T line enclosre

    That's pretty slick. I don't think I've seen a TL in real life...nice job.

Very interesting for sure, so sub forward, but port exits up into the factory subwoofer location? Too cool!
    Are you not entertained?!?!

    Re: 2011 Dodge Challenger

Thank you guys. I have all of the pics for the completed trunk, amp racks and such. The pics just weren't cooperating earlier. I'll try again in a few when I get a sec.

Traditionally tlines do have stuffing, this one does not. It does nave 45's in the corners and was painted white and many other colors. The line is also about 18 inches short, which put the tuned freq at 36. It will play well up to about 70 and can play down to about 28 or so. I use the crossover points on the deck to act as a SS filter since the amp doesn't have one.

This box started as an experiment to see what I could do for next to nothing. The wood was a recycled desk unit made from 3/4 MDF that I found on Craigslist for free. The window side is MDF with a layer of plywood that was free. The 1/2 inch plexi was from a recycled printer stand that was free. The lighting cost $5 on ebay and I did the whole trunk with it. The later parts of the build ended up costing and the Sundown sub in it now was bought new.
    Current System:

Highs/Mids: PPI S.65 Tweets, Crunch CS35 3.5 (crossed passively on high out of deck)

I had the port facing forward and got terrible cancellation.

Thank you. You may want one if you hear one. They do take a ton of space though.

Here are the build pics of the amp racks. There is one on each side of the car. The passenger side has the Pioneer GM-D8601 and the driver side has the RF r250.4. Pics are for the sub amp, but both are built the same.

Next was wallling off the trunk. The port is no longer on the front of the box and the PPI sub is gone with a Sundown in it's place. There was a lot of experimenting on getting this to work like I wanted.

The Sundown as it sits today

The back of that box is super ugly sitting there, so a vanity panel was next. I made the frame and stretched fleece, then fiberglassed it. It has magnets that hold to L brackets on the side of the box.

And finally the moment it took about 2-3 months to arrive at..
