My tinnitus is too bad so I rarely crank it up. Also, I can no longer attend concerts or night clubs because my tinnitus acts up rather quickly.

The only time I REALLY think of turning it down is when I'm in Clays car and he's demoing the fireworks track Even then, I hesitate...
I'm getting cranky as I age. GET OFF MY LAWN! When driving I like to be able to hear stuff around me like emergency vehicles. While sitting still I'll crank it up. My ears ain't what they used to be either.
They might say "don't try this at home" but nothing about not trying it at your friend's house.
Ear protection, cans for mowing lawns, heavy equipment, guns, et cetera
Might want to protect the few cilia you have left !

The only time I turn it down is when I’m trying to read a house number on a house! For some reason, more volume makes me squint...
