    Mosconi/Orca/Focal

Inquired on DIYMA about a Mosconi 6 to 8, asking authorized dealers to contact me if they can sell me one since none of the local shops sell Mosconi. A rep from Orca posted in my thread to contact Audio Express in Richmond (an hour and a half away) to enquire. I wouldn't call that distance "in my area" but I contacted them and the outcome of that was also dismal. But my gripe is...Orca has turned into an "if you want my product bad enough, you'll work to get it" company. Sorry, but if you want to sell me product, I won't jump through hoops to get it. And now we have a prime example why car audio is struggling.

I'm checking with a guy local to me.
The hoops to jump through sounds like my luck working with contractors. :|

I just wish I could understand how companies can get away with treating the customers like crap...and want more customers.

When a company treats their customers like crap they're biting the hand that feeds them. They need to either get in touch with reality or go out of business...THEIR CHOICE!!!
They might say "don't try this at home" but nothing about not trying it at your friend's house.

it isn't entirely their fault no one in your area carries that product or even entire brand. what do you expect them to do, sell direct to you?

I can't argue that........One would think being a boutique brand sold only through specialty retail outlets a relatively swanky company such as focal would have a rep involved in the distribution chain to keep pressure on the guys who wanted to keep their product on display.......my guess though is that volume is given precedence over customer service.......and that's a shame. Anyone who seeks out your services, should be given the opportunity to give you monies......lol.

Sure, why not? Many brands do that if they don't have local dealers. All I really wanted is for Orca to allow an authorized dealer to ship the product to me without hurting the dealer. You're right that it's not their fault that they don't have dealers in the area, but it is their fault that they blew me off. I do expect customer service for my money and if I don't get it, I won't buy your stuff.
