since I couldnt finish the aluminum piece, I decided to move my tweets today. Did some retuning and RTA work.

oooooooh shiny. Original idea was to have 1/4" MDF over top with a reveal. Now Im thinking just tape off a reveal and paint the rest black. thoughts?

I think the 3d effect of the trim piece, with a nice roundover would look better.....but either way it's gonna look good, nice work!

well I wouldnt be able to round over the edge of the mdf because of the sharp edges. Cant get in to some of the areas with a router. Dont really feel like doing it by hand. The "paint" I plan on using is the link below. It will have a factory texture finish to it.

Why not one big hole in the mdf, instead of trying to roundover all those smaller holes and tight corners?

There ya go papa, that's what I intended when I stated roundover.....not outlining the detail with the mdf, just around the design.....
