Charger owners!!!
We have a 2012 Dodge Charger and changing the oil is a complete pain in the ass due to a lower engine cover that impedes access to the oil plug. On top of that, the cover covers the front jack-point so you have to remove it before jacking it up.
Thought more than once about just removing it and leaving it that way, never seen a lower engine cover before this car.
Have our other owners done this or are they still in tact?

Re: Charger owners!!!
Hyundai did the same thing on the Tiburon, None of the ones I looked at still had there's and I took the one off mine; since apparently all they really do is trap snow and salt between them and the oil pan in the winter.

Re: Charger owners!!!
I'm going to come right out in my typical fashion and tell you how I feel about it.....
I fucking hate it.
First time I changed the oil in it I ordered like 5 filters online so I knew it was a cartridge. Popped the hood, had the filter changed in about 40 seconds. Thought "this could be the easiest car oil change ever."
Peeked underneath and was like

Oh, and six quarts of oil for a damn V6. I, of course, bought five.

Re: Charger owners!!!
I changed mine a couple times, before the dealer started sending me "coupons" to get it done for around 40 bucks. I went to a locally owned quick lube type place the last few times, since it is a lot more convenient than the dealer for about the same money. The cover gives me zero problems, now.

Re: Charger owners!!!
Something about paying someone to do what I can, or should be able to do easily drives me nuts. I like to look it over with my own eyes every now and then also.
And I use synthetic, nowhere around here will do that.
