    Re: 01 BMW SQ Silky

Alright guys sorry for the delay. I should have some time tomorrow night to update this much progress has been made. I love the setup so far can't wait to finish and tune. 75-80 percent there. Sounds very good so far. Have a few bugs to work out.

ID:	2607after Tweeter pods were added. Made the mistake of using a fiber reinforced ring for the tweeter ring and it turns out they used a plastic resin and it didn't standup to pulling off fabric after first covering. In process of repairing with plastic epoxy. Then they will be recovered.

Sub Baffle time Mike jumped on attaching the final layer with Hushmat and mating the other two for final prep for fabric and subs. Preping final threaded inserts for subs and mounting to baffle frame.

Out of time more to follow when I have hours lol to rename and organize photos and wait to upload one at a time. Am I missing something why can't I select a group and upload? Wait til I get to the rear deck, amp rack, and kicks. Thanks guys. Thanks again to the SOS Build Group SOS Southern Old School.

Talking Re: 01 BMW SQ Silky

I am sad I'm far from done but it's playing and much closer. I have been to busy work and personal family stuff to make much more progress but I hope have a couple nights next week then a couple before the meet.
    Well on with the build.
The rear deck. Special thanks to Ray for making progress here once we decided the shapes he ran with it!! It turn out awesome and all I have left is the cover panel inserts and final positioning. When he could take time out of his busy schedule to help it was fun to brain storm and watch the guys go. They all have skills and are very talented. Magic master Mike had the sunroof, b & c pillars, headliner out in no time flat. Rick was gung ho on the alt brackets, extra battery brackets and amp rack most of which got changed/replaced and didn't use sorry bro. still feel bad for him on that one. Anyway back to the rear deck. We decided I needed the EQ accessible as well as the extra batteries and there associated fuses so here was the plan. Rear speaker enclosures and speakers gone enter reinforcement batteries, middle of rear deck sized for EQ30 or 2 EQTs.

I haven't had a chance to take final pics of it yet but you get the idea. Still some covers and back lighting to figure out.

Having been beat half to death in this car for 13+ hours I can assure you there is plenty of dynamics in the car. After making up for lost sleep from last week in sure there will still be a few late nights before the meet. Hopefully I'll have some time to get my food and tweets finished.
