A Belleville woman faces charges after police say she raised thousands of dollars under the guise of having terminal cancer.Alissa Jackson, 31, was charged Wednesday with two counts of felony theft. Her bond was set at $100,000. She was scheduled to be arraigned in St. Clair County court at 1:30 p.m.

Someone on the smwcentral forums (dedicated to mario rom hacks) did something like this to get a "famous" youtube personality to do a lets play of his rom hack and while this is much more serious (what with coning people out of money) it just goes to show that people can be really fucking disgusting.
