    Beautiful amp and extremely great sounding amplifier! Definitely a Zed Audio great!

    I hate it when amp companies add extra space just to make them look more powerful.

    Admittedly, the X series is one of my favorites and they may have been trying to match different models in the same size chassis.

    I don't remember mine having a space like that but I haven't opened it in years. The heat sink size is based on heat dissipation, not really to match the PCB. If you look, there are parts attached to the chassis that are solid all the way down both sides.

    The extra space inside is because they had different xo/eq modules that you could swap to replace the standard input module and they were larger than the standard module.

    Yes ca90ss, that's what I was thinking as well. there were 3 or 4 different modules you could put on that end. I never had any of the other modules so I don't know how much bigger they would be.

    That thing is FULL of bigass transistors, I bet it's expensive as hell to rebuild if you roach it bad.

    10 OP devices per channel, lets say at an average of 5 bucks a pop before markup....
