This build is for my dad's 2003 Honda S2000. There fun little cars, but are a little tight on space. Here's the equipment list for this build:
Pioneer DEH-80PRS source
HAT L6 woofers
HAT L1 tweeters
Massive NX5 amplifier
Stinger HPM3 signal wiring
This will be a 2-way active plus sub setup, utilizing the stock locations and a fiberglassed sub enclosure in the trunk.
And let the fun begin...
I started off yesterday with the wiring:
All wiring was techflexed as usual in my builds. Aluminum tape was used to secure the wiring to the chassis every 6 inches or so.
Remote wire and main power wire (4awg welding cable)
Tie wrapped neatly behind the stock panel is the remote wire and a dedicated power/ground which is run to the engine bay.
In the engine compartment behind the battery is the stock grommet. I used this location for the 4awg main power wire and the separate run for connection of the source unit.
The system will be fused using a Stinger marine circuit breaker. I made a mount to utilize a stock threaded mounting bolt. The mounting plate has several coats of rubberized undercoating to seal and protect it.
