Well, Santa keeps on giving.
This time its a CSL calibrated UMIK-1. (Umik-2 still not available).
Comparing the miniDSP calibration flie vs the CSL one, both are pretty similar up until 4 khz when it starts to get funky.
By 20 khz theres a 7.12 db difference.
I now have 3 microphones to play with. Umik-1 that came with the DSP, CSL Umik-1, Umik-2.
Ill take some measurements with all of them and share my findings.

Been playing with Justin and Ericas tuning companion Updated Justin tuning sheet ( Justin and Erica tuning... and used it to generate different target curves. Loaded them to Dirac 4 each time to the DSP and been auditioning. Its pretty sweet to hear the difference.
Made a graph to compare the curves.

Had a blast at Aggieland IX this weekend.
Some amazing cars and even more amazing people.
Had a chance to make a lot of new friends and hang out with some old ones.
Got to listen to several of the forum guys cars and a bunch of the top sq cars in the US.
Also managed to bring home 3 acrilic Texas maps.

It was nice finally meeting you. I wanted to demo your car, but never got down that way...in fact, I think I only demoed 5 cars all weekend. If they had given us timeframes for each org, I would have felt better walking around. Congratulations on the wins!

And my cars doors are open to anyone, anytime.
I tend to make the same mistake and not demo a lot of cars, but not this time. Got to listen to all of my bucketlist ones and a bunch more and there wasnt a single one that dissapointed.
All cars have something cool or something that stands out and its not that often that you have access to that many sq cars in one place.
Like the free acoustic massage you get with your truck is a welcomed plus.

I watched all the videos about TuN/MAX on JL Audio´s Youtube channel and read the Smaart manual, so I had a bunch of theory but lacked the practice.
Asked a friend to loan my his MAX system this weekend and I spend a good 4 hours playing with it.
First I measured what Dirac did and then I started a preset from scratch following the guidelines that JL advices.
Learned a lot this weekend.

After playing with the TuN/MAX, I decided to build a much cheaper version which Im calling the MIN (LOL).

Did the first bench tests yesterday. Hope to get it in the car by the weekend after I solve the holding situation.

Decided to build a way to put the mics in the same spots and get consistent results.
Built one to get all the mics in the same plane (like MAX) and a second one for Dirac which asks you to for a cube around the central mic (first measurements).
So this is what I came up with.
