Yup, it was kinda sad, but with some motivation from James, thankfully I didn't split, but retuned and finished the day with the scans open on top. Not the best it's ever sounded, but surprisingly decent......I know because I've been listening to it for a few days, lol.

Clay did you try to contact Morel directly and see if they could send out a voice coil?

I would contact Parts-Express and tell them you bought it specifically because they said it was rebuildable. See if they can do something or get the parts on your behalf.

Wow.....no updates for a long ass time......as most of ya know, at jasons meet last weekend, I broke it...

To be more specific, I popped my passenger tweeter. No smoke, no smell, just died. A rather dynamic snare crack took no mercy on the voicecoil, a meter showed it completely open.....booo. Daniel was the lucky party who's demo was cut short.....the second track of his demo is when the breakage happened. When I first purchased the morels parts express listed it as having a replaceable dome/coil assembly......since they've changed their wording, and several Internet searches later, I can find no parts for the et448. So it looks like it's back to my favorite metal domes, a set I love as well. Bad part is I have to redo my sails....again...lol. Let's hope we have some warm weather for the glassin......

Woohoo, good to have tweets again. With the cool weather, not best for glassin......and running out of patience waiting for word back from morel, I bit the bullet and went ahead and ordered another et448 from parts express. If I ever hear back about replacement parts, I will fix the extra to have a backup.........but for now I didn't wanna redo the sails again just to have tweeter action. I've taken action with the crossover points and now working on a retune. Let's hope I don't break anything else for a while.....
