when I pull them out to beef up the baffle I'll get some better pictures of it all. They are powered by a JL XD 1000/1. These particular drivers are 8ohm so they get 300w each from the amp, which frankly is plenty. On the SQ tune I still cut 8db or so out of them.
Oh yeah, the other change is I went back to a 3way. A Satori 6 is current in each door for midbass duties. Nothing special in that install yet though. I borrowed the grill press template from papacueball and made a template for the door grills. I'll probably make mine shallower than he did (1/2" vs 3/4") and maybe use a chamfer to match the rears instead of a rounded profile like he did.
The kicks will initially house a satori 5" that I've been using for a few months, but the baffle is designed to allow swapping out so I can try other drivers. I have a 4" to try, I still have my original scan 10f's I can try again and I have a pair of AF 2.5's that i've had for a while, so being able to swap drivers was of importance to me.

That is awesome! Glad to hear it. Very excited to hear your thoughts on those Satori drivers. For some reason, I've always liked the grit and impact a 5 1/4" midrange provides, but you still don't get that mmmph like a 6.5" can do. Sounds like you're getting the best of both worlds with that combo.
Are you not entertained?!?!
The satori 5 is an excellent speaker. I've had it in the car for several months now and it has performed flawlessly. Up until CS I didn't have a dedicated midbass driver so while the 5 wasn't necessarily weak there (mostly due to the kick area my car naturally boosting 120-180hz range, I had trouble with the subs pulling back. It all blended nicely, but they just pulled too much, hence the move to the dedicated midbass.
I originally got these 5's along with satori 7's and satori tweeters for a home tower build that has yet to emerge

Looking good Robert. Those AE 15's hanging from the rear deck is just bad ass.
I like it! I'm considering doing something similar for my kicks.
