I have recently completed a music setup in me mk2 golf GTD. Specs follow.

    - Boston S60 components for front.
    - pioneer 6" 4way coaxials for rear
    - Alpine MRP-T300 2 channel amp

Now I need help in optimising the performance of the full system.

I can assume from the listing that the F30 amp is powering the Bostons in the front and pioneer coaxes in the rear. The T300 is powering the sub. The CDE-117 is no longer made, so I could not find out if it has crossovers, EQ, TA, etc

I'm glad you guys jumped on the chance to help this fella! I read it early, and didn't know where to begin. I did search his head unit, and it appears to have high pass, and 5 band eq, but no t/a or phase controls.

Alpine still has it hosted on there site: http://www.alpine-usa.com/product/view/cda-117/Specs

As far as sound tuning goes it has; Adjustable Time Correction , Select-able High Pass Filter: OFF/60/80/100Hz, and 5 Band Parametric EQ. It is also compatible with the PXA-H100 imprint sound processor which could be a worth while upgrade down the line.

Do you have the manual, it will tell you how to adjust the Time Align which would be the first step.

might be a good start to learn tuning with but anything more serious will require a processor and more amp channels (or ditching the rear speakers)

The way alpine lays out there site can make overlooking things pretty simple.

    Hey guys.

PaulD got it spot on. The F30 is powering the front bostons and the rear pioneer coaxials. The T300 is powering the sub.

I did some research on my own and did some tuning using a digital multimeter. And it has started sounding really good.

As far as the music I listen to is concerned. It's a mixed bag, ranging from rock (tool, zepplin, Def leppard) to full on party/trance (Edward maya, swedish house, etc).

    Now some tuning details:
    HU
    - I have the HPF turned off on the HU.
    - subwoofer level set @ 8/15
    - fader ranges from -15 - +15. I ve set it @ +3. (front bias).
    - haven't touched the time correction.

    Amp F30
    - gains set using multimeter @ 13.8V for all channels.
    - HPF set @ 90Hz
    - bass boost to minimum.

    Amp T300
    - gains set at 19.5V using multimeter
    - LPF set at 100Hz
    - phase 0.

These are pretty much all things I adjusted. And used a 60Hz sound signal to tune.
