    Sure, as long as you meet the criteria under section 165(d) in the internal revenue code. Generally, losses are only allowed to the extent of the gains from your winnings.

    I've heard of that w3rd 'GAINS', Can't say I've ever experienced it, though.

    I know an attorney getting ready to do a few in the windowless house, says: He'll write it off $636 million Mega Millions jackpot that I lost !
