That is awesome clean work man. You are such a pimp with the checker board. I wish I had more time to do what I wanted with the Mazda but I rushed it. It's ok but I wish I had the few extra days for my org. plan.
Fleece has never been my favorite and I swore I would never use again because it always drips though and enough doesn't stay in the fabric. I have had problems with sagging and really soft spots because the resin just leaks though. Is there something I am missing you don't seem to have this problem. Most love fleece I prefer jersey/shirt cotton and grill cloth.
I need to have some CAJ fleece printed up
Make a frame out of thin plywood or MDF. Then staple and stretch fleece (Sweatshirt material) over it and brush on your resin/hardener. When it dries you can add layers of the fiberglass cloth to it to build it up. When you use "fleece (Sweatshirt material)", try to find material with as much polyester as possible. It sets up better.

Ok maybe the selection of fleece has been my problem.

Fiberglass work is DONE! Yay...letting it cure and gonna start Clay's favorite part...sanding and bodywork!!
Here are some pics. FG is 8 or more layers on top of the soaked resin, so a total of 3/8'' or more thickness. I think that'll do! I used a just a little more than a gallon of resin overall and about 4 yards (56'' wide) of 1.5 oz chop mat. Even not fully cured, it sounds like knocking on a sturdy boat hull.
