I like the look of that box/amp rack.
    Should look pretty cool.

while I prefer the look of no grille or some sort of subwoofer protection, I know the owner of this build is a bit careless so I had him purchase a heavy duty steel grill from PE. It will be sandwiched between the beauty board and a backer piece. Here is a quick pic with it resting in place over the sub. It's a perfect fit over the surround.

    Lots of progress.

Here is the aftermarket 6.5" next to the factory 3". The 3" isnt being used.

Cutting the opening for the amp in the beauty panel

tweeter relocated from the sail to the A pillar. The owner wont let me fix the bumps in the vinyl. I think it looks terrible but he is fine with it.

Finished enclosure and amp rack installed. Yes it is bolted down and secured very well. Ill have to get some better daytime pictures

Unfortunately I dont know how it all sounds because the alpine w205 took a dump on the guy and the preouts are effed.

no picture updates, but I did just swap out the busted alpine w202 for a new soundstream double din (link below). Initial impression of it is pretty good. Definitely seems lwer quality, but hard to argue for the price. Finally got an initial tune done too and for what it is, im fairly impressed with the overall sound.
