Excellent choice Hic, and that is just for those of us following this thread. I can only imagine how excited and nervous you must be about now Shauna! You've done an excellent job and put in a lot of work and care. I can't wait for you to drop that bitch in the car and fire it up. Job well done so far!

All I can say is to agree with Nick. I hope you can sleep tonight.

The clutch and input shaft fought me tooth and nail today. Yes, I used a clutch alignment tool, but for some reason the engine and trans hated each other. I also had a bitch of a time getting the clutch to bleed, but eventually it did.
I also had to make one run to the parts store, which is to be expected. I had to pack up shortly after I took these photos:

Forecasters are calling for ice, sleet, and snow over night tonight. Hopefully this storm won't be as bad as they are saying. Ughhh. I am sick of winter.

You try putting a breaker bar on the crank bolt and wiggling it to get the splines to match up? I've spent inordinate amounts of time both separating the engine and joining the engine with the trans on my Subaru, but I'm not the brightest bulb in the shed.

Very nice to see the engine back where it's supposed to be

I have to buy a 12 point socket that will fit my new balancer boot. With a lot of cursing, wiggling, brute force, and a cookies and cream shake, it all worked out.

Nothing like using 500+ ft-lb to do donuts in a snowy parking lot.
