    sounds like it already had quite a bit of overlap on the cam. is the cam bigger now

    That cam was custom ground for a positive displacement blower. Unfortunately/fortunately I never bought the blower I wanted. After seeing the work that was done, I'm sure I would have had to buy a new block because if a catastrophic failure.
    The new cam is a custom grind for a naturally aspirated setup.
    For you guys that are wondering, a PD blower sits on top of the engine.

    cams for roots action are normally pretty small overlap. car still sounded pretty nice. you should notice a "difference"

    Today's adventure was cutting the valve seats. I'd say it went quite well. The exhaust side got finished up and the valves were lapped. Tomorrow the intake side will get done and I should have enough time to get the heads assembled.

    Would you say that was one of the most delicate processes you have had to work with? Seems like there is no room for error.

    This part was easy. Porting the heads was the most delicate process. If I hit one spot too long or took too much metal out, I would have "hit water," and had to buy at least one head.
