In fords, the signal going into the doors is full range and the speaker naturally rolls off. No crossovers on them.

Highs from pillar and lower door are less than optimal.
Actually, let me clarify my question... Assuming the tweeter on a 6x9 coaxial speaker is effectively disabled via crossovers, does the tweeter physically interfere with the sound coming from the main 6x9 speaker cone? I completely understand that having two tweeters active at the same time (one in dash/pillar and one in door) is less than optimal, but I'm talking about if the tweeter in the 6x9 coaxial door speaker was inactive due to crossovers. I just wasn't sure if the tweeter physically being there would impact the midbass sound from the 6x9 cone - as in physical "interference".
Will you be able to hear it ? If so , attempt to solve the problem.
I would try it with volume turned down and cranked up , then , assuming there are no major issues ( lack of bass , et cetera ). Use it just the way it is !
As far as tweeters go , up stage kits were once sold ( a second tweeter up high , lift up stage ). If you "hear" something you do not want to hear , attempt a fix or repair.
