We will never forget

Damn right we'll never forget. I've never had such feelings of initial fear, shock, awe, anger, then soon followed by a change of where we stand, and how we are thought of in the world community from watching news coverage. This of course was followed by the pride of watching our country, so completely devided for so long, come together at the sight of our dedicated emergency service people, and common folks working at risk of life, from the initial act all the way through the rescue/ aid operations. It also brought my arrogance about the security of our country and ways of life into perspective. Never in my lifetime did I expect to see a successful attack on the Pentagon, this truly enlightened me that I was not the only one that thought our safety was a given. A truly unforgettable,horrible tragedy that will remain in our minds forever.

Sadly, all too many of the newspapers from our state ran cover articles on Paul Bear Bryants b'day today instead of anything to do with WTC bombings, Benghazi or anything else actually relevant.

I don't celebrate anniversaries of death, they are just unpleasant memories in the back of my mind.
But, to each their own !

I sure hope we never forget.
Morning radio was talking about a gaffe where someone said "celebrate" 9/11. They used Memorial Day as an example of how the original meaning of commemorations can get all effed up.
