Thread: Should I amp up?

    Should I amp up?

I am running an Alpine 164BT head unit, DLS UPi 6.5 components, Infinity Kapa 4x6's, Precision power Ice1000.4, 2 Sound Quebed 10's powered with a MB Quart Onyx OA2050.1D. I have recently bought 2 Rokford Power dual 4-ohm T1D410 subs. I was kinda forced into buying MB Quart amp. I have read some reviews on the MB Quart amp and most weren't very good. I was wanting to get some suggestions for a good amp. I would like to try and stay under $500.00 if I can. I listen to mostly rock and everything is installed in a standard cab truck.

    Gapete66,

Sundown makes excellent amps and "customer" service is first rate!

    Re: Should I amp up?

How about an RF Punch amp to match the RF subs? Sundown is a great company too. Is this a single cab GM truck? Reason I ask is my 01 and 06 had the same stock speaker sizes. All that said, if the MB Quart amp does what you need it to do I wouldn't worry about changing it unless there's a known risk of it catching fire under normal operation or something.
They might say "don't try this at home" but nothing about not trying it at your friend's house.
