    Hello all.

My name is Brad. bmiller1 from DIYMA, which seems pretty common. About 10 years in the hobby, at least in a serious fashion. A short stint in competing but mostly just help friends. Got a new car last year and swore I would just do a nice simple system and certainly wouldn't modify the car. So, needless to say that lasted about a year and I've been fiberglassing dash pods all week and buying new gear like hotcakes. Look forward to getting to know some new people and checking out all the knowledge here. I'm sure I'll buy things and I'm sure I'll sell things. So, hello!

    Welcome to CAJ Brad!

I think you were the one asking about how I improved the response from my Camry's dash mounted mids?.. Do you have a Camry too?

Hey man, yeah I was. I waited a bit to see if anything advanced (didn't know about this site yet). When I didn't see anything, I did the only thing I could do.....started glassing dash pods. Did you get yours finished? Mine is a '12 XLE, which I think is close to yours.

    Re: Hello all.

Sorry for the delay, I've been really sick lately with tonsillitis & conjunctivitis but starting to feel better now.

Yeah, the '12 should be exactly the same geometry in the dash speaker mount area. I did have some pods glassed using the stock speaker grills.
I've had surprisingly good results with them.
I'll post some updates with photos sometime this weekend.

    Re: Hello all.

Sorry to hear you were sick but I'm glad you're getting better. I'm having to rebuild my porch roof this weekend so, I understand the delay. Oddly enough, that's exactly what I did as well (stock grilles). I'm no master installer but I hope they turn out reasonable. More pressing issues (audiowise). Put a new amp in yesterday and in 10 seconds shucked the voice coil on my 10w7AE-3. Pretty livid. But, hopefully, pics of well-done pods will lift my spirits.
