Cleaned up the gasket surfaces on the intake side of the head. Nothing noteworthy, really - just prepping to get the intake back on.

Well I put it back together and it ran worse. Took it all back apart and turns out one of the gaskets for the intake manifold came loose during the installation, got pinched, broke, and was leaking air in. New spark plugs and gaskets and it's running slightly better than before the teardown at least. Still has a hesitation when gassing it. I don't think it's fuel - have good fuel pressure the whole time. No misfire codes anymore. This car also has 4 cats... might be time to gut them.

    This happened, too:

It looks like your alternator has a major leak

It's his alternator and he can "clean" it as fast as he wants to!
They might say "don't try this at home" but nothing about not trying it at your friend's house.

Got it fixed! All new ignition coils and she's running like a champ. Also picked up a spare engine, transmission, and new (to me) wheels and tires off a 98 Town Car.

What happens from here... I'm not sure. Gotta save for a wedding and all that stuff.

I recently picked up a nothing special head unit for super cheap along with a pair of 6x9s. I also have a couple old amps that I don't know if they work or not, but I think this old beater is gonna get some audio upgrades soon!
