    Just remember, the tuning of the enclosure has a huge impact on how the sub performs. With proper tuning, a "SPL" sub can sound like a "SQ" sub. You might also check out Nicks HST-12 ( http://stereointegrity.com/product/hst12-12-subwoofer/ ). I heard this at Als' GTG on Saturday, and was totally impressed with the sound and output of a single 12" sub.

    Likin the " hand - built " in North Carolina !
    Dual voice coils of 1 ohm or 2 ohm , et cetera ... made to order to acommodate amplifiers maximum power output.

    The quality control is what it's all about , unlike cheaper products that are price driven from China .

    You started to get into an area where i have a few head scratchers. Building an enclosure. If i go with 2.5 cubes per sub ported, will it sound good if you hit within certain perimeters. I mean, it won't have a specific tune, but it will play at some tune. If you haven't guessed i need to build a ported box and i dont have instruments to tune with.

    Might work, try it and see.

    Imitate a build you can see, mirror it. Craigslist might be able to get a bandpass, ported, transmission line or folded horn enclosure that was built for two subs.

    Intended example : https://www.parts-express.com/dayton...-coil--295-510

    Dayton Audio Ultimax dvc 2 0hm plus 2 0hm

    Vented box = 1.75 cu. ft.
    Tuned = 25 hertz
    Vent dimensions = 10 inch height / 1 inch width / 24 inch length.
