    They were a somewhat big name (on the west coast) back in the late 70's and early 80's from what I've heard. They went under and have sine been revived.

    I'm usually not that big a fan of powered Subs, they usually cut corners and compromise quality for convenience. But this JBL looks pretty interesting and appears to be designed as an entire system as opposed to an assemblance of off the shelf parts.
