    PASMAG Amplifier Reviews.

Seeing as real product reviews in hobby are getting harder to find as more publications close down or refocus I decided I would post specs and links to the one car audio mag that is still going. I'm thinking about keeping this thread dedicated to amp reviews (mono, 2-channel, 4-channel, more) but if Al would prefer me to keep all the PASMAG info in a single thread I'm cool with that as well. I claim no authorship for any of these reviews, I'm posting them here to make a simple archive of "current" product reviews for any users of visitors of the site.

Lets start off with two new offerings from Clarion.

First The Clarion XC6410 2/3/4 channel amp:

I think it's cool seeing manufacturer's rated power versus actual power. I think having individual threads for each category would be the way to go.

    Re: PASMAG Amplifier Reviews.

It is neat to see exactly how over/under rated some of these amps are. The RF Punch just blows the factory specs out of the water at 12 volts and even though the SS REF4.760 was a little overrated those specs are still pretty impressive and not off by too much.

I'm betting in the old days, Soundstream would have been way underrated.

They very well may have been, though I would like to see a second look at the 4.760 seeing as that review was before/ right at launch and may have been a pre production model.

    Re: PASMAG Amplifier Reviews.

I know this guy wouldn't be the choice of most people on here but I've heard conflicting things about RE since the US Amps buyout (particularly about the new USX line) and though I would post this for anyone interested. It's not terrible but it sure isn't good.

    RE Audio USX4250:

    • Class: AB
    • Channel: 4 CH
    • Dynamic Power: 1200 W
    • RMS Power (4Ω@14.4V): 100 W x 4
    • RMS Power (2Ω@14.4V): 150 W x 4
    • RMS Bridged Power (4Ω): 300 W x 2
    • THD: <0.05 %
    • SN Ration: 85 dB
    • Frequency Response: 20 Hz ~ 30 KHz
    • Crossover Frequency(Low Pass): 40 ~ 250 Hz
    • Crossover Frequency(High Pass): 40 ~ 1 KHz
    • Input Sensitivity: 0.2 ~ 8 V
    • Heatsink Size(WxLxH) [inches]: 9.65 x 15 x 2.05
    • Heatsink Size(WxLxH) [mm] : 245.11 x 381 x 52.07
