    Cool Central/North AL GTG

    BigAl's Big Birthday Bash!

I would like to invite everyone over to check out the new garage, listen to some cool audio systems, hang out and cut up with your friends, and help me celebrate my Birthday. We will probably also have a pre-meet and tuning session the night before.

The place: My house in Hayden, AL (about 25 miles north of Birmingham)
    The date: Saturday, November 12
    The time: 9AM to 9PM

    Optional things to bring:
    - your favorite demo music
    - a folding chair
    - a camera
    - Tools and tuning equipment
    - a friend
    - a canopy

I'm open for suggestions on what we can get for lunch. I'm leaning towards barbecue, but grilling is an option.

I hope to see you there!

Haha. Looks like a good time. Good group of folks as well. Hate I missed it. Hope I get another crack at it again soon!

Great little meet. Big thanks to Al for hosting and big thanks to Glenn as well. Glenn knows what I'm talkin boutI'll give them a good home. Surely one of them will work inverted in the space provided and give a helluva lot more than what I have on hand. Winding down from that awesome before bed.
They might say "don't try this at home" but nothing about not trying it at your friend's house.

First off, Happy Birthday Al! Man what a great time! Thanks for all of your hospitality. It was great seeing all of you guys again and meeting a couple of new people. I laughed so hard that both my face and sides hurt. You guys are great! I'm patiently awaiting my flight back to the D. I only took a few pictures as I was just too damned busy laughing all weekend to take any more.
P.S. I hope you get some rain soon. Those brush fires are scary.

I want to say thanks to everyone who came out. I had a blast and hope to have another one soon, and hopefully by that point, the garage will be in order and I'll have something to demo..

Y'all got sleepy eyes. The banter that went on yesterday will flat wear a feller out

Well the brand new preowned Jeep passed the road trip test so it's time to get busy with it. I think I got a solid install plan locked down but still a few unknowns that need to be decided. Nothing major other than I need to make up my damn mind on speaker selection. The FIX, c-dsp, XD800/8, and Ram 6.5's are going in for sure. Then a minidsp 2x4 with rearfill plug-in and stock d-pillar speakers for rears. Need to decide if I want to just get something cheap and reliable or go with a matching XD mono amp for the sub. I got a couple more options for tweeters to look really hard at after hearing them (Xtant/Morel and the Ebay spx pro tweets). I'll know exactly how much space I have to work with for the sub once I strip all the fluff out of the spare tire well. Get ready, it's about to get REAL and won't be able to see anything when looking in there except maybe some slightly different looking tweeters

Thanks for a great time, and meeting such great people. Everyone was so friendly, and helpful to a stranger / newbie. I really appreciate it! BigAl's hospitality was awesome. Thanks a million for the demos - it really shows me how great a car can sound. Glenn, your truck was unbelievably amazing. Shawna, I must agree - my face hurt when I left. I appreciate the wisdom and advice from everyone, and most of all, I appreciate the friendship. I definately looking forward to the next one!!

Welcome to the family Tom! Kick your shoes off and stay awhile. You'll fit in just fine
