WOW man! WOW!
I really needed this kind of "Level=WIN!" installation inspiration today.
I thank you Sir!

So...this post ends the copying and pasting. Lots of pictures with a couple of words sprinkled in between. Haven't been updating much in the thread lately as I've been trying to do some listening and make tuning adjustments. Tracked down some rattles in the rear door and quieted those down last weekend with some CLD. I may have cooked my mids as they are making an awful scratchy sound at higher frequencies. Not sure if having them crossed over too low, or being in a small sealed enclosure caused them to overheat...or a combination of both. Either way I am using an older pair of Hybrid L3V1's and am looking into grabbing another set of mids from PPI.
I have so much to learn when it comes to tuning but am looking forward to getting better at it. Have a copy of REW and need to pick up a mic to dive into that.
Any feedback that you guys have would be much appreciated.

Wiring was cleaned up. Tucked the RCA's from the 4 channel back behind panels. Mounted the DRC-100 knob in the center console behind the shifter along with the status light. Still need to find a place for the valet switch.
These two are crappy pics but eh..
nice and clean for all kinds of win. very nice
Thanks guys!

Holy shit, nice work dood! Clean and beautiful instal, hate you lost yer mids.......
Nice install, very nice! Like the integration and all. These new UConnect radios are nice, but do provide a challenge for us audio junkies. Very excited to hear more about how the JL FiX works out.
Are you not entertained?!?!
I really would like to post more info about the FIx processor but I haven't had the opportunity to document what it is doing. I've been meaning to hook it up to some test equipment but I don't own any and haven't had the opportunity to use anyone else's. The UConnect is rather bass-heavy in stock form and from what I can tell, that is still an issue. Even though the Fix is supposed to output a flat signal, there is still a muddiness to music if the bass isn't dialed back in the UConnect's 3-band EQ. I will make a post when I get an opportunity to share more, and have results to back up any statements. Hopefully that happens sooner rather than later.
One thing I can say is the the unit calibrated rather easily and hasn't had any malfunctions in the 3-4 weeks that I've been using it. When it is on it get surprisingly warm to the touch, maybe that has to do with it converting an amplified signal? Don't really know. And it also has a very low noise floor. There is no hiss or alternator whine.
