Well, the box has to be slanted on the back for easy fit in my jeep. Also I want the box made of high quality materials, whats your opinion of mdf vs. cherrywood vs. birchwood. Also whats the point of doing a fiberglass resin finish?

No it needs to have a 70 degree slanted back, and I want to use something higher quality than mdf 3.0 cu feet

Higher quality in terms of finish/aesthetics? Like a nice cherry or walnut finish? You could always look into a veneer over the top of MDF, really. Or even a patterned vinyl could look quite nice, if done properly..

For just straight wood stuff on a smallish box, MDF is ok, but if you can find good and solid baltic or russian birch plywood, it's the bomb.. Stronger and lighter than MDF. This stuff here I found locally is the nom noms.. 7/8" and 5/8" sheets of Russian plywood. I literally found the company's ad on craigslist.. Local shop that gets all kinds of cool stuff like this, wood flooring, etc.

By higher quality im talking about sound quality, durability, and lower weight. aesthetics matter too, but the first three matter more
