in a perfect world, it wouldn't matter which forum, but rhetorically speaking, the sheer volume of data and picture streams "over there" makes it hard to exclude when doing research for whatever important thing crops up in your own travails.
for a day to day sounding board, this place uses the shout box like a team huddle, winning is easy enough because of the few bright bulbs that shine here.
so as a result, direct comparison between forums is a hit-or-miss affair, sometimes it's nice to get that instant receptive quality in the shout box, generating the chat atmosphere, and sometimes it's the formal tutorial that grabs your lapel, right?
oh, and welcome!
CAJ is a little more geared towards sq than spl. Also, look at active members

I took over MSS because the original owner didn't have the time to keep it afloat and didn't want it to turn into another Diyma. Unfortunately, since he left, a lot of the old-timers quit posting, and the place has turned into a ghost town. I've got it on the same server as CAJ, so it's not really eating up a lot of resources or costing anything, so I keep it open for reference purposes.
MAF is a similar story, the founder fell on hard times and I took over just to help him out. It's still got a few active members, but I can't even get the staff to participate, so I don't know what to do with it.
MSS has really technical discussion and was started by a guy who wanted to get back to the roots of Diyma. MAF was created by a guy who was sick of the BS on caraudio.com, and is geared more toward the younger basshead crowd. CAL fits somewhere in the middle.
Anyhoo, welcome aboard
It's still open to post if you ever feel like tossing some wood on the embers. I'll have to manually add you, though. I got tired of deleting spammers.
