Thanks fellas. it's been a major pain trying to come up with a interesting design. I'm trying to having it playing for The Vinny, I'll still be there if I don't..

    Beauty work, eh?

The wood alone is a cool contrast of colors and shapes.

Loving this new trend I am seeing towards tasteful use of stained wood!
Its so elegant and pleasing to the eye. Looks great so far.

Hmm, it's a common theme in VWs especially folks with air rides.. those are engineering oak floor planks.. They are a easy to work with, except the drilling part. wood tears even with tape on it.. I might just do some floor mats with it as well (only for show ones). Then there's the issue of scratching it when you move the equipment, but use some wood floor cleaner and you are set..

I need to ask though, RCAs are going to be an issue as I don't want to drill to big of a hole to run them so I thought about custom built ones..

    Re: My Passat Wagon

So I've been busy last few weeks working on my car: (Actually after the Vinny, talked to a few people and been motivated since then to finish this car)

I still need a little more work to do on the pillars to see if I can get them covered in vinyl. yeah I'm not that skilled..

    Re: My Passat Wagon

thanks.. it's been a long time coming. After searching, reading, trial and tribulations (still on going), acquiring new tools/technoques, focusing on the car, I think I will have my best install ever (started in 88-89 time frame and started competing in 95) and the sound part is still something I need to work on.. Next up with the Kick panels, steel perforated grille for the amps/sub, and under lighting of the amp rack..
