I'm digging where this is going!!
I was too, but now it isn't going much of anywhere. To mount a baffle at an angle sharp enough for the subwoofer height, cuts the enclosure volume by almost a third. The three Zapco amps require too much space for the area I wanted them in, and the dash pods aren't working out how I envisioned them being either. Everything just crashed and burned this afternoon.
Making a list right now of what's in storage to see if something can be salvaged by the meet, but it seems like an almost total scrap this idea and start from about halfway is at hand.

Put the sub on the other side of the box.
Tried that too, it would either have to flush mount and ruin the idea we discussed, or if mounted on an angled baffle still, loses even more volume than on the other side. May end up having to just go with a pair of 10's that were being saved for the Ram install.

So after browsing through the inventory, decided it best to use a pair of amps that have been set aside for future projects, but why not just use them now. Biggest issue though, no processing built into the JL HD amps like the Zapco DC. Soooo... had to order a solution this morning for that. JL TwK D8 should be in route this week to the house. The FiX 82 can send optical signal over to the TwK, and then with the amp rack design I have, send super short RCA cables to each amplifier.
Went ahead and started on the amplifier and processing rack this afternoon:
And double checked the enclosure to make it sure it fits well. As Ace Ventura said.. like a gllllllllllllove!
Subwoofer choice at this time, is to refoam a pair of 12W6V2 that had been set aside for future builds as well. The airspace of that enclosure (once it's sealed) is perfect for them, and they should be quite happy off the 500 watts each HD amp provides.

************!
They might say "don't try this at home" but nothing about not trying it at your friend's house.
Some more goodies today:
But, some baddies too. Found out one of those 12W6V2 may be beyond saving. It has really bad sag with the cone and spider, and when pushing down, then releasing, sounds like a spring. Makes me wonder if some of the coil windings have come loose, and could cause a short. On the hunt for possible replacement subwoofers now

Oh noes
