    That's a lot of wood! Is that the most wood you've ever had, Al? Hopefully you wood lasts until you can get it protected.

    Serious question... is there anything between the cinder block and the wood plate?

    Yeah, a layer of asphalt shingle to deter critters, a foam sill gasket, and then a pressure treated 2x8 bottom plate.
