Re: Bobby K's 2014 Silverado LT

Mostly my calculations! I see the baffle in my head, but it's not transferring to MDF very well. I have (4) DD 608 Redline 8's, and I'm try to fit a 3.5 cube box under my back seat with the subs forward. I have 10" of height in the front of the box, and the subs are 8.5", so it's not leaving a lot for top and bottom. I'm going to dado a channel into the top and bottom panels, I just need to draw it all out instead of cutting first and planning later. It's been so humid here, I have done nothing, so this week it's lower 80's and light humidity, and I'm trying to fit everything in...

I normally build the top and sides, then add the back and front afterward, that way you're not adding thickness to the edges of the baffle

I actually had a chance to work on the truck the last couple of days. First, I installed my f'in 1/0 power wire which required me to remove the battery in order to installed the huge fuse holder. Once that was finished, I cussed for about 2 hours, all while running the wire through a 1/2" rubber grommet to get it into the cab. The wire was then loomed, and the grommet cable tied, so no chance of foreign objects coming into the cab.

Sound deadened rear doors with Noico 80 mil and 1/4" CCF I found in the garage.

Re: Bobby K's 2014 Silverado LT

Space has been a challenge I thought I would not face having a crew cab truck, but it has certainly proven me wrong. I made some PVC enclosures for my 4" Frogs, thinking I'd put them in the kicks, but there really are no kicks to speak of in this truck. I then thought about a-pillars, but the "oh shit" handle is in the way up there. Now I've mocked up a console extension that I think will work, plus I think I can hide the DSP and maybe the front amps under it. I've made it small enough for the dash compartment to still be utilized for hiding the DSP remote, such as thedavel did in his thread. Maybe I will see some other opportunities as I ride around with it like this:

Thank you guys for pointing out that speakers in the center will not work as I intended. I traded the 4" Audiofrogs and I have been bartering quite a bit, so here are pics of my latest iteration of my set up:

ID:	5478I'm not sure whether it will be the 2 Eclipse 15's, or the 4 DD 8's. If it's the 8's, then I'll need another CAB 1600.1, or something that will do .5 ohms and 2k watts...
