    Basic glue tip

use a scrap chunk of wood, drill a cavity and us it as a glue caddy... or use an old lid... then brush it on evenly. basic tip, but it minimizes mess while maximizes bond, James bond.

I make the things that go bump in the night...

great tip. Drill a hole partway through a scrap chunk of lumber and BAM.... glue caddy. If I might add on to this.... A piece of silicone works great too. I use one of the silicone glue trays from rockler. Once the wood glue dries, you can just peel it right off.

I ususally just hold the glue in my mouth and spit a glop wherever needed. I call it the Bobkakke method
