    I think everyone's dad I knew growing up including mine had an el camino at one time or other.

    I can't figure out what the black amp is.

    My first car was a '69 el Camino that was a hand me down from my dad.

    It's an old Crutchfield from ~'84, similar to the first generation of PPI amps. I'll be using it on my horns since it has a lower noise floor than any of my other amps.

    Got the last couple pieces I've been waiting on, the fuse block and amp for the midrange. Was planning on bridging a 2 channel to each one but ran out of space. Didn't really need 450w on each one anyways, 200w each should be plenty.


    Hoping to get everything hooked up this weekend and begin getting it tuned.

    Finished up the wiring today. It isn't pretty but I'm tired of working on it so for now it's good enough.




    Didn't have much time to work on the tuning other than setting crossover points and levels but as it is it gets obnoxiously loud. Hopefully I'll have some time tomorrow to work on getting everything adjusted a little better.
