Nothing wrong with those grilles. I don't think you need to reinvent the wheel for every install.

Got some work done on the enclosure today, all I have left is to cut the holes for the speakers and port and then carpet it. Ended up getting just over 7 cubic feet before driver and port displacement so it should end up around 6.5' tuned to around 32hz. It's a little smaller than I wanted but I still needed to leave room to mount the amps and processor. Was too tired to take pics but will take some next weekend when I get it finished.

As far as the grilles the only thing that really bothers me about them is that the sony logo shows through a little bit but generally if something doesn't bother me enough to fix it right away I rarely get around to doing it later.

Carpet didn't turn out that great but it's ready to go in as soon as I can get someone to help me put it in.

Got the call my new home speakers will be delivered Saturday and since I have most of my interior and a giant enclosure sitting in the middle of my living room I decided to wrestle the enclosure in myself.

Knocked the floorBOARD right out of the car!

Haven't been very motivated lately. Couldn't come up with a good idea for mounting the amps and making it look good so I ended up just making a mold of the floor behind and under the seats, gluing some mdf on top, glassed over it and then carpeted it. Not really too concerned with looks as I'll just make a trim piece to cover it when I'm done. Still need to finish the drivers side and then I can start getting everything wired up.
