Have the build of this install on another website but wanted to post an overall on here. The components are:

    Pioneer P99
    Helix DSP
    Phoenix Gold DD-5
    2 - Soundstream Reference 500 amps

    Scanspeak 12m Revelator mids
    Beyma 8G40 midbass

The build has been through several revisions. Tested and replaced the frontspeakers several times. What I'm posting here is the state it's in today.

    Subs mounted IB.

DD_5 mounted in arm rest in rear seat.

    HU recessed into dash

    False HU cover installed

    Kickpanel pods

    Re: 2004 Monte Carlo

Up till about 2 months ago I had been using ID waveguides but couldn't get theresults I was looking for.

Those were pulled in favor of these.

Upon changing to the Scans over the waveguides the imaging is above the dash whereit belongs, the stage is way better and I got the highest score I've gotten todate. The pods don't block my vision as much as I thought they would. I drovearound with a cardboard template of the pods for a week to see If I would be okwith it. Yes, there is still a lot of things to improve on but I feel it soundsbetter than it ever has thanks to a lot of help and input from othercompetitors and friends.

I like everything about this install!

Are the scans passive? (3 amps, 4 pass-bands?)

I've heard the before pods and after, big positive change and nice detailed sound, great work throughout the vehicle and great sound. Looking forward to hearing it again.
