my other all time favorite stealth sq setup. trunk was truly immaculate
interesting bit about why he set out to win and beat an apparent jerk-store.

Todd is truly a really nice guy. I got the pleasure of meeting him before he got "obsessed" with car audio. Super smart guy and could tune cars with the best of them. I got to ride in his Dodge Omni Turbo GLH (talk about sleeper) and that thing was FAST! He tuned a lot of my friends turbo cars too. Man, when he picked something up that interested him, he learned everything he could.
This rivalry is why I'd really like to find out more about Dan Polhamus' Civic. I know he competed in the 1-50 Amateur class, had an Orion 225HCCA amplifier, and doors full of MB Quart. I've read that he wasn't the most liked guy, but his car must have been quite the piece of work. I looked through my collection of old magazines and, more times than not, Dan would outscore Todd at events (sometimes by 40+ points). It may not be a fair comparison because they competed in different classes, but dominating a class with a single 2 channel amp is an impressive feat. (From what I've read, Dan would have been going for his 4th straight Finals win, but his car was stripped the night before the 1994 Finals. Between rebuilding the car from the wreck and having his car ransacked, he was probably too short on funds to continue.)
I had the issue where they featured Dan's car. I may still. I'll have to look when I go through all my back issues someday.
