Well, it's time to start the long, slow gear-up for some serious sound equipment. Plans include a full new set of front mids and tweeters, an amp for them, and possibly a processor. I already have sound deadening materials I plan to install in the doors, possibly the trunk and roof as well. We will see how things go.

-Redo sub baffle mounting
-Carpet baffle
-Speaker grille cloth stretched over rings to allow for a removable speaker grille
-Track down sub baffle rattles... they're BAD right now.

I have an official date of completion! May 19, the Thursday before Automotion. Automotion is a HUGE car show held here in WI annually. THOUSANDS of cars attend each year, with the main show days being Friday and Saturday. I plan to go down on Thursday and come back on Monday.

Here is the formalized list of things I gotta do before Automotion, in order of importance:

Remove winter tires from rims, purchase and have summer tires installed
Exterior wash, cay bar, wax, and seal
Interior vacuum, shampoo, and shine
Sound deaden all doors
Install new door speakers and tweeters
Install LOC, 4ch amp, and wiring
Redo sub baffle
Carpet sub baffle
Track down rattles
Run 1/0 to alternator
Engine bay cleaning
Plastidip the following: Fender inserts, trunk lid accent, window trim, unpainted mirror sections, and a couple spots on the bumper

Brushed up on my MS paint skills. After a little thinking I have determined it IS possible to power both the mid and tweet without having to deal with the dreaded giant molex plug in the door.

Also, the HUD I bought. Works great! I need to calibrate it yet but it's very responsive. Main thing I like about it is the voltmeter - I like to keep track of it.

Helped jump a minivan before dinner.

After dinner I helped pull a different, almost identical minivan backwards onto a car dolly after they overshot and jumped off the front. Push bar saves the day again!
