    Vintage Vise Restore 2.0

If you checked out my other thread you know I gifted the little Wizard to a friend. My new vise arrived earlier in the week and is ready for some wire brush love.

Jaw inserts have seen better days.

Break down and cleaning pics are next.

Speaking of toys, found this baby on the side of the road the other day. She's a real looker. No spark problem atm,but we will get that solved soon enough.

Montgomery Ward? Nice! Those, Simplicity and Wheelhorse are some of my favorite vintage tractors.
    Are you not entertained?!?!

Yep, old Mont Ward with an 8hp Briggs and Stratton far as I can tell. Has a really odd card/throttle body, I will try and get some pics at some point.

Onward and upward, paint stripper applied.

Didn't notice the pinned plate upon initial inspection.

Cleaned up nice, now for some final stripping with a wire wheel.

Ready to work, slide and jaws will need extra attention.

    One side done.

Time for some file action to smooth out those sides. Start with this.

    Much better.

Almost ready for paint, some hand sanding on the handle assy is next up.

I know everyone is on pins and needles waiting for the next stage

Decided to try and match the shade of blue that came on it originally.

In the oven for a quick bake and she will be ready for final assembly.
