    2-way TQWT floorstanders

Last year I had some units left in my collection so I decided to build me a pair of floorstanding loudspeakers for my game/smoke/chill room..

    The drivers being used are:

Audio system HX 165 Dust midbass
Pioneer TS-T3PRS Tweeter ( in most pics I was still playing with the HS25vol by Audio system which is in the compo set..)

    Cabinet 22mm MDF

Crossovers : DIY ( measuring tweaking combining ) Still working on em, rebuilding the room so another session will come as soon as the room is furnitured..
The nice thing about my job is when we have an active build, the passives are coming home with me.. where they will be disassembled, components being measured and marked with
    the specs..

Measurement setup: Tascam US-122mkII USB soundcard
    Behringer ecm8000 mic
Diy RLC meter via Limp ( Arta )

    Re: 2-way TQWT floorstanders

At the time where I made these pics I was thinking to put the tweeters on top of the cabinet so I could adjust them to get the voicecoils alligned... After a long period of thinking I decided to use another set of tweeters, since the HS25Vol has no real mounting manner...

I had some stereo-monitors I built a couple of years ago ( build on deema ) with the complete PRS set.. (TS-M7PRS, TS-T3PRS, UD-N2PRS )

So I took out the TS-T3PRS and removed the flange and thought about it to mount them from the inside of the cabinet to get the coils alligned...

I just have pics of the completed cabinets now, but I can tell you it took al long time to come with the idea.... and execute it...

So here are they, painted and ready, waiting to be measured for the last time to adjust the crossovers and hook em on my Sony ES receiver.. ( DIY Bias adjusted so left and right put out exact the same amount of power )
And Analog multichannel input, so if I ever decide to get a MiniDSP, I can hook it up to the multichannel input and no need to buy separate amps..

You did that on a table saw? With both a miter and a shallow angle those corners must've been difficult to line up just right! Im guessing thats why you used the body filler?

    Excellent craftsmanship!

The filler is mainly to seal the MDF to reduce soaking of the paint.. Some of it indeed for correction..

    Thanks!

What is that? Like a portable radial arm saw?

A circular handsaw? the Makita SP6000K1X

With a alu-rail, the saw slides over the rail.. Adjustable depth, speed, angle... very nice piece of equippment..

That's a fancy lookin skil saw! The fancy lookin blade guard and the attachable rails are what threw me off. It just made my wish list.

I need to refurb my Delta 8" long bed jointer first though.
