I think most of you know that I sold my Mercury Milan (build log is on here) I have had a company supplied vehicle for about 4 years now and my my Milan sat in the side yard collecting cob webs. I pulled all the stuff out, sold some, kept some, and haven't messed with car audio for about a year.
My wife's car is a 2005 Ford Escape. It came with the factory Mach 300 system. It's a 6CD in-dash changer, 5x7s in the door 2" wide band speakers in the sails, and an 8" sub molded into the back.
I have some equipment, I have a plan, I do not have "permission" yet.
I really can't guarantee that this build will even happen. This may be the most epic of fails in build log history.
That being said.
Here is the proposed equipment list:
Source: Pioneer AVH-X2700BS http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...H-X2700BS.html
Processor: The built in network mode in the HU
Amplifiers: Arc Audio KS300.4
Arc Audio KS 300.2 (maybe)
Speakers: Diamond Audio M661 Component set (will run the midbass active)
Tang Band W2 in the factory sail panel locations
Subwoofer: Option 1 use the factory 8" sub and amp. I think I can make it sound better than the >200hz crossover it currenty has
Option 2: Cerwin-Vega Stroker 12 in a removable box run bridged on the Arc 300.2
SoundDeadenerShowdown CLD tiles
The plan is to mount everything so you can't see anything except the head unit. All speakers will be using stock locations, the sub is still up in the air.
Here is a picture of the unsuspecting victim.
